SSQ Insurance is convinced of the health benefits of prevention and the promotion of well-being and offers a wide variety of health programs and services.

All groups can decide what they want to include in their group insurance contract. Some health and wellness programs and services are also available à la carte.

Health Support

Included under long term disability insurance, the Health Support service is designed to promote insureds' physical and psychological health to prevent absenteeism in your organization.

The use of resources is at your discretion: only managers can direct an insured person towards the professional resources of the Health Support service.

The assistance plan provides insureds and their dependents with:

  • 3 hours of telephone consultation, including 1 hour of legal or financial consultation
  • 6 hours of consultation in an office or on a secure website
  • Help with finding a nursing home or childcare services
  • Access to the Internet-based cognitive behavioural therapy (iCBT)
  • Videos on various topics (suicide prevention, cyber addiction, stress management, burn-outs, etc.)
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is the perfect complement to health insurance, enabling your organization to aim for and reach three objectives:

  • Improve health and wellness in the workplace
  • Prevent absenteeism
  • Resolve physical and psychological problems in the short term

The EAP proposes a number of services to insureds and their dependents should they find themselves burdened with personal, family-related or health problems of a physical or psychological nature:

  • 3 hours of telephone consultation, including 1 hour of legal or financial consultation
  • 12 or 20 hours (depending on your contract) of consultation in an office or on a secure website
  • Support to improve their lifestyle habits
  • Help finding shelter
  • Help finding childcare services
  • Distribution of health newsletters online
  • Videos on various topics (suicide prevention, cyber addiction, stress management, burn-outs, etc.)
  • Health questionnaire (for an additional fee)
  • Service for getting earlier medical appointments
  • Access to the Internet-based cognitive behavioural therapy (iCBT)

Health Spending Account

As the perfect complement to health insurance, the Health Spending Account enables you to put a sum of money at the disposal of insureds to reimburse medical or dental expenses that are not covered by your group insurance plan or public health insurance plan.

Telemedicine at our plan members’ service

We work hard for the health of our customers, both in terms of prevention and recovery.

This is why we’re offering Dialogue, a fully integrated and seamless virtual healthcare platform, to all our eligible group insurance policyholders.

With Dialogue, customers are able to consult a doctor, a nurse or other health professional online.
