I am wondering about whether my personal information is safe

Will my personal information be protected as my claim is being processed?

Protection of the personal information of our members and customers is a priority at SSQ Insurance. We implemented stringent security measures to protect personal information, even when working with a third party (e.g., travel assistance service, Compensation Fund, etc.)

Rest assured that your personal information will be processed carefully and as per best practices, regardless of when and why you contact us.

How can I be vigilant about fraud and phishing?

Unfortunately, cases of fraud, identity theft and phishing are on the rise with the COVID-19 pandemic.

SSQ Insurance may email or telephone you. However, we will never ask for personal information such as your contact details, date of birth or policy number.

If you receive an email, text message or phone call from SSQ Insurance that you think is suspicious, here are some tips to keep in mind:

  • Check the message’s origin. Pay attention to logo, colors and information on the sender.
  • Never provide personal information if you have any doubts about the sender.
  • Don’t open or download enclosed or appended documents in a message from unknown sources or that you weren’t expecting.
