A HELPING HAND WHEN YOU NEED IT
Long-Term Care Insurance provides benefit payments in the event of serious cognitive deficiency or total
incapacity to perform two of the following basic activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, using
the bathroom, transferring, maintaining continence, eating meals.
You decide:
- The amount of benefits you want to receive each week
- How long you want to receive benefits for
- How long you want to pay premiums for
There’s no need to send in any receipts and you choose how best to use your benefits.
INDIVIDUAL LONG-TERM CARE INSURANCE MAY BE FOR YOU IF:
- You are between age 30 and age 70
- You provide satisfactory evidence of insurability
SSQ PRIVILEGE - LONG-TERM CARE INSURANCE ALSO GIVES YOU:
Indexation
If you choose this option, the amount of your coverage is indexed annually with the cost
of living, even while you are not actually receiving benefits.
Reimbursement of premiums
If you choose this option, the premiums you have paid are reimbursed in full to your estate
at the time of your death.
