Group made up of individual members Any person holding an individual insurance, annuity or investment contract established by SSQ, Life Insurance Company Inc. belongs to the category of individual members. Individual members are divided into two subcategories, namely:
The number of delegates that may be designated per subcategory is based on the number of members in each subcategory and determined according to the table provided for such purpose. Delegates are selected by means of a draw of individual members who have expressed an interest in becoming a delegate before August 31 of the year the draw is held by completing the form provided for such purpose. The draw is held at some time between September 1 and 30 of each year. Delegates are normally designated for a two-year mandate. Within 10 days following the draw, individual members selected are invited to act as delegates. Members must communicate their intention with regard to their designation in writing to the Corporate Secretary within 30 days following sending of the notice of designation. If a member fails to confirm acceptance of designation within the time specified, another member drawn is invited to act as delegate. |
