Challenge
The Training Advisor reports to the Director of Administration and Development. He/she participates in developing training guidelines and carries out training activities; may supervise other employees involved in a training process; gives training sessions.

JOB DUTIES

Training:

  • Develop and carry out activities related to the creation of training programs such as analyzing needs, collecting information, formulating objectives, developing and writing course content, designing training material, evaluation tools, and more.


  • Create specific and thorough course outlines, respecting the established criteria.


  • Give the courses by adopting appropriate teaching attitudes and methods, ensuring participants' understanding, using adequate teaching material, audiovisual devices and other support material.


  • Create and update training documents and others used for training sessions.


  • Proceed with the assessment of knowledge, learning and transfer of knowledge for the courses given.


  • Participate in identifying the human and material resource needs required to carry out all activities of a training program.


  • Recommend and participate in the development of training programs.


  • Participate in studies that lead to the recommendation and development of the Company's annual employee training plans.


  • Evaluate the training activities and programs.


  • Ensure support and educational follow-up with sectors receiving or having received training activities.


  • Act as an advisor for managers regarding specific training activities.


  • Participate in the training of in-house trainers.


  • Design and use the control and planning tools related to any training session.


  • Ensure compliance and application of the recommended adult teaching method.


  • Act as an advisor for Human Resources in terms of developing and distributing the material used, including teaching materials, the employee welcome and integration program, the Manager's Toolbox etc.

Required skills and knowledge:
REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in administration, adult education or equivalent.


  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.


  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English. Knowledge of French an asset, but not required.


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


  • Basic knowledge of training program development activities.


  • Basic knowledge of data collection tools, training needs analysis tools and planning tools.


  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with browsing on intranet sites.
